one thing that small business owners and managers are great at is adapting to their current situation. while the coronavirus epidemic is unprecedented, those skills that keep small businesses alive every day will help these businesses survive. in many cases, there is no need to gather more debt during this time as national, statewide, and private coronavirus grants may help.

nationwide grants

on a national level, there are government grants and grants from private sources that may be available, including: 

economic injury disaster loan advance grant (eidl) 

get up to a $10,000 loan in as little as three days that you can spend on maintaining payroll, paid leave, increased costs, mortgage or rent payments. while it comes as a loan, if you spend the money as intended, then it is forgiven, so it becomes a small business grant. learn what economic injury grants and loans are, what businesses qualify, and how to apply here

facebook small business grants program 

while facebook is not taking applications yet, they have set aside up to $100 million for coronavirus grants that up to 30,000 small businesses in 30 countries can receive. 

jbf relief fund 

while new applications are not being accepted at this time, the application to receive a james beard foundation grant may be reopened at a later time. these coronavirus grants are only available to those in the food and beverage industry with the foundation receiving donations from individuals, corporations, and many other sources to be able to award these grants. 

paycheck protection program (ppp) 

if employees are kept on the payroll for at least eight weeks, this loan is forgiven. businesses need to apply through a u.s. small business administration (sba) approved lender. we pulled together a list of the top 275 sba approved banks where you can apply today.

small business grants from verizon are designed to help the business community with emergency cash.

small business grants are available from the southern equity fund for business owners in arkansas, florida, georgia, louisiana, mississippi, north carolina, south carolina, tennessee, texas, west virginia, alabama, kentucky, and virginia with a special emphasis on those owned or serving the lgbtq community. 

social justice fund northwest

if you looking for small business grants in idaho, montana, oregon, washington, or wyoming, then you may be able to secure a $3,000 grant from this organization with a special emphasis to stop racism and xenophobia. 

mid-south covid-19 regional response fund
